Money, Power & Pleasure: Reclaiming My Root

Money is related to sex and power. It’s all the root chakra. It’s the 8th house in Astrology.

It’s a topic that is taboo to talk about.

I’ve been working through money wounds, and money work for a handful of years now. This past year was when I chose to go “all in” so to speak, on learning about money.

This led to intentionally choosing debt.

Yes, you heard that right.

Because debt is simply the shadow of income. 

My capacity to hold wealth is directly related to my capacity to hold debt. 

I had fears around debt, fears around my responsibility in holding debt due to past experiences of not being able to hold it.

So I chose to play a game this year. A scary game. Some would’ve called me crazy. But I realized, if I don’t start making up the rules to the money game…I’ll forever be stuck in the same paradigm of a money game that is designed so that we can’t win.

Because that’s what the current money game is designed to do. It’s designed so that you’ll live in fear. And when we’re in fear, we’re giving our power away.

I chose to take back my power around all of my beliefs around money.

I chose to re-write the narrative.

I chose to align my power with my values.

So this looked like investing $20,000+ in mentorship, business masterminds, and training.

And, I put a chunk of that on no interest credit cards.

I worked specifically with a mentor who had held debt. I EXCITEDLY charged my credit card to pay her. 

At first it felt free.

Then it felt terrifying. 

Eric and I had SCARY moments where God/Source was showing us where our relationship to money wasn’t in alignment with our values.

So we shifted to local banking. We got better security on our accounts.

We saw the triggers, felt the unsafety, moved it through the body, and alchemized it into crystal clear energy.

I found pleasure again. This is where the energy began to alchemize.

The pleasure transmuted the fear.

Not through by-passing it.

And then, energy began to clear from the root. Because I stopped giving fear the power.

I began to find deep trust in my capacity to hold shadow and light.

But through holding it and being with it. Feeling the fear, weaving in the pleasure.

Breathing into the fear, enhancing the pleasure.

Slowly, the fear began to lessen as the pleasure enhanced.

My power came back to me as I transcended into bliss.

I began to welcome the return of income. I stopped fearing receiving money, receiving power, receiving energy.

The basic principle of the feminine: to receive.

I started trusting the purity of the power. If I am attuned to God/Source, I am holding the power in leadership and responsibility.

I avoided holding power for so long. I would repeatedly tell my clients that their power is theirs.

Which it is. And, we are ALWAYS exchanging power.

We are all exchanging power moment by moment. I hold other’s power anytime I’m in a position of leadership. Anytime I am facilitating.

I give power to my mentors I trust, to facilitators I know can hold it.

Investments are a return of income. ROI.

Income is energy. Debt is energy. Pleasure is energy. Power is energy.

When we are investing in our energy, we are investing into our future income.

When we stop separating everything, we see it is all energy.

Because at the end of the day, our pleasure is our creation.

Our power to create is rooted in our capacity to hold shadow and light.
